~ Nobody Said Love Would Be Easy ~
People associate Love to roses.
Sure, roses are beautiful things,
But don't forget the thorns.
They're there
Hiding beneath the soft petals
Ready to slice you,
To make you bleed.
Nobody said love would be easy.
People compare fire and passion.
Fire warms you,
It drives away the darkness.
But if you touch it,
It won't think twice
Before searing your flesh,
Before burning you to a cinder.
Nobody said love would be easy.
People think moonlight romantic.
It's soft silver glow lights up the night.
But isn't it funny how it's also used
In stories to represent terror?
Werewolves, vampires, demons,
Nightmares lurking in the shadows,
Waiting to pounce.
Nobody said love would be easy.
People find the color red sexy.
Red, the color used for love, passion, lust.
But it's also the color of blood.
Circling through your body
A crimson flood
Flowing from your wounds
Draining your life away.
Nobody said love would be easy.
Always there is sorrow with the passion.
Good and bad go hand in hand.
Pleasure and pain.
Ecstasy and torment.
Many people wonder
If love is worth the misery.
I think so. After all,
Nobody said love would be easy.

"Night time sharpens, hightens each sensation... Darkness wakes, and stirs imagination... Silently the senses abandon their defenses, helpless to resist the notes I write... For I compose the Music of the Night"
